first_imgHome » News » Henley agent reveals PM’s sartorial stop-over before Sturgeon visit previous nextHenley agent reveals PM’s sartorial stop-over before Sturgeon visitTheresa May was in town, reports column writer, to visit her favourite boutique.Nigel Lewis29th March 201701,172 Views If you’re wondering where Theresa May bought the clothes for her controversial meeting with Nicola Sturgeon on Monday then a Henley agent may have the answer.In her ‘Diary of an Estate Agent’ column for local newspaper the Henley Standard, senior sales manager Margaret Connerty (pictured, right) yesterday revealed that last Thursday Henley’s high street was awash with police as Theresa May went shopping at her favourite clothes boutique.While previous PMs including David Cameron have relied on fashion gurus to give them sartorial guidance, three years ago the then Home Secretary Theresa May told Desert Island Discs presenter Kirsty Young that her fashion choices were her own.Henley boutiqueShe also said that her favourite shop was Fluidity, a tiny boutique on Henley’s Bell Street, opposite the local branch of sales and letting agent Davis Tate, where Margaret works.“I have a particular shop that I go to and they know the sort of thing that I like to wear, so they will sometimes ring me up and say ‘there’s something really nice in’,” the PM told the programme.On Thursday she was presumably on her way to Chequers from London in between Brexit negotiations, or on the way to her constituency in neighbouring Aylesbury when she was spotted by Margaret.She says the prime minister, who is well known for her love of leopard-print kitten heels and £400 brown leather trousers, was seen by locals going in to the boutique.But Theresa May’s visit was not the only news Margaret revealed. She  also says that her colleagues at Davis Tate ring a bell in the branch every time clients exchange on a property – and it “ding, dinged” twice last week.
