first_imgCiaran Bonner was in sensational form for Glenswilly in their Donegal SFC win over Bundoran.Glenswilly 6-16 Bundoran 0-09 Glenswilly bounced back from the disappointment of last weekend’s defeat to Kilcar, by hammering a lacklustre Bundoran side.Bundoran suffered a heavy away defeat to St Michaels last weekend and it was hoped they’d be a tougher proposition at home. Managed by Donegal GAA legend Brian McEniff, Bundoran had no answer to a rampant Glenswilly who were hungry, ruthless and clinical throughout the entire match.Goals from Neil Gallagher and Michael Murphy in the opening period ensured a comfortable win for Glenswilly. They added four more goals in the second-half which may prove crucial, as it could come down to the scoring difference to see who advances to the last eight.Kilcar and Glenswilly are both on two points each, while St Michaels have four. Kilcar will be expected to defeat Bundoran which would them on four, while if Glenswilly defeat St Michaels next week that would leave all three teams on four points apiece. It’s going to be interesting next week in the so-called Group of Death.Mac Cumhaills 0-09 Four Masters 2-14Four Masters delivered an excellent and assured performance yesterday evening to defeat Mac Cumhaills.Four Masters were dominant throughout and goals from Peadar Espie and Kevin McBrearty ensured they would leave Mac Cumhaill Park with the crucial victory they desperately needed. Mac Cumhaills lost Rory Dunleavy brother of Cork City captain Johnny Dunleavy to a black card in first-half injury time.In truth Mac Cumhaills battled gamely but were outclassed by a Four Masters team that were well organised, determined and clinical.Four Masters now play Glenfin who exited the competition following their defeat to Ardara.A win for Four Masters next week would see them advance to the last eight of the Donegal SFC.
