Hunters face fines after 50 dead caribou found in Northwest Territories

first_imgAPTN National NewsOfficers with the Northwest Territories department of natural resources say the remains of at least 50 caribou have been uncovered.It’s believed they were left behind after a recent hunt.The remains included meat suitable for food, including legs above the knee, rumps and ribs.The caribou were found near the small community of Gameti, a popular hunting spot.The officers are asking for the public’s help in finding the hunters who may face fines.last_img
