Man charged with uttering threats impersonating officer on Facebook

A Kelliher man has been charged after allegedly making racist and threatening comments on Facebook while claiming to be an RCMP officer.Melville RCMP received complaints about the Facebook interactions on Thursday afternoon.Patrick Kuhns, 45, was arrested the same day and charged with uttering threats and impersonating a peace officer.In screenshots provided to the Leader-Post, a profile with Kuhns’ name says he is working with Yorkton RCMP and “can get away with anything.” The account threatens the message recipient with “rape” and says he will “punch ur (sic) teeth out.” In screenshots posted to a Facebook page advocating on behalf of missing and murdered Indigenous women, the account with Kuhns’ name also says “I should make all the gurls (sic) on here disappear without a trace.”Kuhns is scheduled to make his first court appearance in Melville Provincial Court on Sept. 16.
